Sony VPL11HT V HS50 V Optoma H79

I have been thinking of upgrading my 11ht for sometime now as the bulb has around 400hrs left and I have built a HTPC which is currently rotting away in the corner because I'm feeding the 11HT with component and I can't get the resolution correct(I have spent hours with powerstrip and suggestions from others, I have given up!) I had my heart set on the new HS50 (being a Sony freak) but to be honest I am starting to get a bit jack'd off with Sony

1. The DVD Mega changer available in the US is still not available here which is why I built the HTPC, why is it taking so long!
2. I've been thinking of moving from LCD to DLP and the reviews on the h79 are v good

should I spend the extra on a h79? and if so is there anyone(shop that is) in the midlands that would demo the hs50 h79?

thanks for any comments

I think Nottingham HiFi, (Alfreton Road, Nottingham) have the HS50 on demo.

I have the HS50 with a HTPC and they work very well together. Do a search on Urban T and there are some stunning screenshots

Does anyone known how well the IR works on the H79? the IR recievers on my 11HT mean you can point the remote almost anywhere in the room and it works, from the brochure it looks as though there is only one receiver on the H79
