Question Screen for 30H?

I've just installed a freshly delivered 30H in my loft and I want to make my own screen on the end wall. I was considering using Digital light Grey from Goo which has a gain of 1.3 . I believe that the 30H is calibrated by Sim using a white screen wih a gain of 1.3. Will I see a big difference? Is there a white screen paint available with a similair gain. ( I want to use a paint so that I can maximise viewing area)

I'd appreciate some feedback - I didn't get any response on the Projector screen forum.

How about a fixed screen, if this is possible have a look at Carada screens, here is a link to a review, I have heard good things about them?

Ratbert,

thanks for the link, it also had some useful reviews on the Goo paint. I realise that maximum size image is not always best but my problem is one of space / geometry. The loft room has sloping eaves on the end wall and if I paint a screen I can get about a 96'' diagonal screen, if you consider the seating is 3.5 m back from the screen this is not bad. I'm quite happy to go the DIY route I have for the rest of the house!!! My query was really one of Do I go for White or Grey (I can completely black out the room)

If you have total light control, I would recommend a white screen finish with the Domino 30H.
