Z3 and a hint of green!

Sanyo Z3 colour uniformity

Hi can anyone help, I have a slight tint of green on the left side of my screen (you only notice it very slightly in certain scenes) I don’t want to have to send the unit back just yet as its not exactly life threatening.

Is there any adjustment, maybe in the service menu to help tweak it out?

Cheers guys.
John

Has anyone got any ideas on removing this tint?

This is probably a colour uniformity issue that LCDs can suffer from, and I don't think you can fix it. Try calling Sanyo customer support and see if they will fix it/replace it for you under warranty.

Gary.

is it just like 1 pixel all the way down? i have a yellowy green 1 pixel width sometimes across the bottom and right but i assume it is the source file i am playing. i did send it to sanyo for firmware upgrade and colour uniformity but the engineer said he found nothing wrong with the image and could not see any green. if you read sanyos site they mention this problem but i do think its related to source material as well.

I have a *slight* tint of green in the bottom left corner and blue in the bottom right, but it is very, very feint and does not impact at all on moving images...indeed I only see it on pure black scenes.

I have a few small faults with my Z3, but I'm just going to get on with enjoying the positives as otherwise Im likely to lose even more of my hair :D

I think we have to remember that although these are expensive pieces of kit, we are still talking 'budget' model projectors, so I guess the prospect of perfection is unlikely to be met.

Still loving my Z3, and that dead pixel seems to be fading (I wish!)
