Post Sanyo plv 30 owner needs some info

Hello i have taken the plunge and
brought the sanyo pro,its connected
to a pioneer 717 via s-video lead
10m, on the whole the picture is pretty
special for the cost of the unit, when watching some
scenes ie greyish i seem to see alot of
grain/vertical lines/small squares type
stuff its hard to explain and i cant
understand why the picture can go from
being really smooth to the above from
scene to scene could this be the input
im using would conponent make much diff
please dont get me wrong i think the
unit is great, is what im seeing an lcd
custom or can maybe a diff connection help
matters,
thanks in advance Rory.

I see these vertical lines now and again on my tosh MT1z . It's the screen door effect which most (not all) LCD suffer from. Having the picture to big or sitting to near doesn't help. Some people slightly de-focus the picture. Another solution is a lens from america called the IMX VTS which makes the pixels smaller. They also do a panamorph lens which all 4.3 Projectors can use with anamorphoric films (therefore increasing the resolution which LCDs normal just rescale) http://www.cgns.com./
