Help

Hi
I have just got my et1 home and I can get the dvd to work fine.
Just have to wait till its dark now though as I currently have no curtains up in the room its in.
My problem is I want to connect it to my philips dtr1500 freeview box.
Must I buy a scart to s-video convertor as the freeview box has no s-video out.
It wont seem to work with just scart from box to et1.

thanks in advance

john

Do you know for certain that it can output an svideo signal? I would output it over RGB and then use a converter to change the signal to YUV, works v well, but obviously enduces extra costs.

doh!

It was me being a plonker
I had it on the wrong input....doh!!
So, I have used a converter from scart to vid/audio 1+2 (yel/red/white) into the ET1 audio sockets.
The dvd I have scarted into the freeview box so both signals can be switched from the freeview remote.
One thing that confused me though now i have spent all day doing something that would take you people 10 minutes is that I can only get black n white to the et1 direct from my dvd via s-video, though all is well with scart.
Any ideas?

Hello mate, I have the same problem with my Sharp PJ. Its ok with SVGA/D Sub, but erratically it goes B&W with composite or SVHS!!
Have you sorted your problem out!

I to have a Phillips DTR1500 free view box and sometimes i get B&W why?

You sure your DVD/Freeview source outputs in S-video? Most scart sockets only do RGBH or composite, not s-video. Maybe that's your problem?
