Hello,

I have a hi fi cabinet which has a front opening. If I put a projector inside should I take the back off the cabinet for air etc? Which direction does the projector draw in the air? Does anyone know of any problems with placing a projector in a cabinet?

Thanks

Yes, overheating .

Seriously, ventilation is crucial for long term reliability. LCDs are more prone to heat damage - discolouration of panels etc.

As long as you've given adequate clearance at the exhaust - no build up of hot expelled air & a good supply, you should be OK.

This is very important though

am i right in thinking the exhaust is at the front of a tw10h?

how do you know when the lcd gets discoloured?

will having the back of the cabinet open give enough air intake?
