I need a lamp for my Sanyo Z1

Hi all,
I need a new lamp for my Sanyo PLV-Z1 but would rather not pay a new price for it

Do any of you folks have one for sale by any chance or can you point me in the right direction for one.

I have found one online for about £175 ( thanks Family guy ) so obviously i'm looking to pay less than that.

Cheers,
John.

are the z1, z2 and z3 lamps the same? they are all the same price at www.pricejapan.com which is about £100 plus shipping etc - why even bother to look elsewhere, you know the lamp sellers here are ripoff merchants so just buy it from overseas?

Thumbs up

I just Purchased my bulb for a Panasonic from Pricejapan , saved about £80. Arrived within a few days of placing the order, will definately be using them again, good communication & alot cheaper & quicker than trying to purchase in the UK.

The Sanyo Z1 lamps are 243 euros ~ £175 from Price japan.

Wish they were £100 !

Paid £220 ish for mine from Sanyo UK. Figured with shipping from Japan plus it's quite a delicate thing to have shipped anyway, not worth the risk.

£175,,,, then import duty if the customs get it which takes it closer to £200. so not much of a saving after all.

No offence meant but I am simply surprised, never heard of anyone being able to refurb lamps.

I thought they were formed in a vaccum, these guys must have some serious equipment on hand !

But even at E175 I would personally be inclined to buy a new lamp anyway rather than just refurbing it. The idea though is certainly interesting !

Yeah i thought it was a bit strange at first.
I guess they keep all the bits they can use again and replace the rest making it cheaper.
It would be interesting to see if their is any sort of guarantee with it. If there is then it's a good price but if not your right i think i would also go for a new one.

Over on avs, some guy got a refurb lamp but the results weren't very good. Not sure if that is usual or if he was just unlucky though. It's probaly wise to make sure they have a good returns policy in that case.

Gary.

Talking of lamp refurbs, i would like to check an old lamp out - does anyone have any old sanyo lamps that have expired? If you have please PM me cheers (i will pay)

PS the price in Japan IS 20k yen or £100. However as i indicated (without adding prices) Pricejapan add £25 shipping (EMS) AND £20 extra profit for themselves and £5 sales tax. I will definitely get a lamp from Japan (where it sells for £100) and certainly not UK where we are being screwed.
