Can the Sim30H acccept an interlaced signal from DVI to HDMI?

Trying to configure my p.c to run ffdshow to allow the Sim to accept an interlaced signal, running from DVI going to HDMI on the Sim, have tried installing powerstrip running the 1766 x 1000i setting no joy, also turned off tilling still no joy, any help would be greatly appreciated.

The HDMI input needs a progressive signal to display an image. This is because the HDMI input of the sim2 is not connected to the faroudja chipset onboard so deinterlacing must be done at source by the dvd player or computer.
