How do you rate 7205?

Anyone own a 7205? How do you rate it? Does it give a similar type of picture to the 5700 (ie. vivid colours) and how much better is it to this product?

probably much better resulotion wich means sharper picture and better colour saturation

id say its 20-25% better overall!

main advantage is that it is 1280*720 and ready for high definition and can handle the better resolutions that will be a standard in the near future (blu-ray, hd-dvd, sky hd) and improved contrast etc, if you can afford it i doubt you would be dissapointed and wouldnt feel the need to upgrade when the new formats come out.

I have just got one and its amazing. I have hooked my pc upto it and played the "True Crime" WMV HD clip that I down loaded and could not tell the diffrence from watching it on my 17" crt monitor to when I was watching it on a 7' screen it really was that good. and with component connections from my dvd player the picture on Dvd is great to,

it is a superb projector, though if you do not use HD material on it, you are really not getting much out of it.

I demoed the 5700, 7205, and 777 at cedia.

With DVD playback alone the comparison between 5700 and 7205 did not justify the price differential. HD movies were a different ball game though - so i would bare what i am saying in mind.

Personally if you have a 5500 already and are not going to be using much/any HD id not upgrade. wait 1-2 years for HD to become more prolific, then get the new breed of DLP'ers in that time - that will be better than all current offerings no doubt!
