Budget Projector-What are the options ?

Hello,

I have to buy a projector for work. Generally it will be connected to a portable pc via the VGA out socket for powerpoint presentations.

The VGA cable from the PC to the projector will be 25 to 30 feet and the projector will be about 30ft away from the screen too.

There is ample space to put up a 10ft or 12ft screen.

My budget is £2k all in, though if it can be kept to £1500 or less that would be a bonus.

Who should i be looking at for contenders in the projector stakes ?
Who should I consider for cables, will the signal degrade too much over said distance ?

Should I be considering anything else ?

Thanks in advance for anyone kind enough to give me a few pointers.

Cheers
