Yea well at least you're watching movies, footie etc. on yours and enjoying it.

I've got a big empty space in my lounge and nothing to fill it with.

It was an X30 the other week and an Epson but I think he is going to demo the X35,X55,X75 & Sony HW50 when they arrive
Panasonic AE6000 vs JVC X35 v Sony HW50

Guess it would be good to see the 55 against the 30 or 35.

The 55 is 4k isn't it?

The price is 5k but it up scales to 4k but won't accept a 4k native source when they arrive. IIRC

Oh so not a native 4k res?
Think only Sony are doing that on their 100 model?

Gonna wait til people get stock of the new JVC and see what deals they'll do me.

Any idea why some of my posts have been removed?

Did you mean their 1000 model?
Your posts might be removed if you are mentioning prices at dealers possibly. There should be something on your profile and a reason.

Sorry yes I meant the 1000 from Sony.

Seems my posts were removed because they were replys to Alan's posts. But for some reason Alan decided to delete his posts and consequently mine were removed. All seems weird to me.

I've had a pm from a mod stating that you'd deleted some of your posts.

I assume that as I'd replied to some of those posts (using the 'quote' button) my entries were also removed.

It was pretty loud but you can't hear it from outside. I have a detached with cavity wall insulation and my living room is at the back with a conservatory on. It was just nice loud without the missus complaining.

It does seem louder on the new amp but it has more power and sounds like it.

Perks of being detached. I've tested War of the Worlds at -5db (too loud for me really if I'm honest) and went outside. I couldn't hear anything, though I put my hand on the porch supports and could feel the bass. I usually listen -20 to -15 myself so it's good to know that even late at night I'm not disturbing my neighbours. Like you the cavity wall and conservatory must help too.

I never bothered even haviing a sub in my last house as the neighbours would knock on the door if an advert break came on a bit loud let alone an action movie.

No this projector used the e-shift technology which creates a 4K image quality. It's still a 1080p projector. I can confirm that it is exceptional here in our demo room on a 2.35:1 2.7m wide screen. The impact is simply sensational.

Regards, Shane.

Have you got any new x30s?
When do you get the x35s in?

Might be better to PM or email Shane as I think he might break some forum rules if he responds in this thread.

My friend bought a graded X30 from them last week and they are showing no stock now on their website. I don't think there are many left.

There very few X30s left anywhere. There was a last-minute burst of demand, and we shipped out our last units several weeks ago. We even bought some stock intended for other countries to fill the gap between our orders and what we had available.

Looks like you need to wait for the X35 (not long) or pick up an ex-demo or lightly used X30 while they're still around at under £2K, which is a steal in my view (admittedly I have an X30, so I'd biased!). There are a couple of ex-demo X30s in the Assured Advertiser and Bargains forums I think (not checked today). Go JVC, you won't regret it!

Ah cool So now to decide whether €2,280 X30/RS45 is better value than new X35 @ €3,000 (depending if I can get one at that price here)

The 3D is better on the X35 but there's very little if any progress over the X30/RS45 on the 2D side.
So is it better value? If 3D isn't your top priority then absolutely yes.

I'm undecided at the minute on 3D. I have watched some 3D material on our 50" tv. I may watch more on a bigger screen as the effect would be better. So at the moment its not important but in the future it could be.... Is the 3D performance on the X30/RS45 that much of an issue? I've gone through the threads on here and have seen examples, they do look bad but in reality it may not be as much of an issue?

Once my X30 is fully warmed up I don't have any issues with the 3D, it's not terrible as some people would have you believe. It's good. Not as good as the Sony, which is great, but still good. At times very good. I can honestly say the wife and kids have never said anything other than wow! I love having a projector that gives a beautiful, film-like picture on all my 2D movies and still does some wow 3D for the family and vistors!
