New Epson projectors this year?

Hi,

Sorry in advance if this has been asked before.

I'm moving into a new house in November/December and will be converting the garage into a cinema room with projector etc.

Right now, I've got my eye on the Epson TW6000 and was just wondering if this model will be replaced before the year is out?

Do projector manufacturers normally update their line every year like TV manufacturers, or is it a bit more random?

The 6000 was out in late December last year so I would expect the new model to be announced in Sept and launched around xmas.I have heard the replacement will possibly have lens shift but this won't be confirmed till the new models are announced probably at IFA end Aug.

Any news on a replacement for the 6000? I was about to purchase when I saw this thread?

can I just say the replacement for the 6000 is going to be the 6100 and
it 100% will not have lens shift.

the first Epson model to have lens shift in their new line up will be the 8100 at £2195

all new models should be available before the end of the year
