domino30 owner how do i make use of the 1080i setting

have owned sim2 30 pj for over a year unfortunately before the digital connections ...want to get the better resolution pictures going through it but not sure what to do and what connections and sources...at present sky+ goes thro jstech component switcher my dvd i have the choice of component or rgb15 pin computer socket ,and use both dependent on the quality of the dvd ,for copies i use the 15 pin as you can ramp the contrast right up ...I use the 15 khz setting as i find the pj does a better job than the progressive scan in my dvd on the 32 setting....

worried if my pj will be leftbehind when hdtv comes in will 1080i be enough or will i have to somehow get up to 1080p..

Is there a way of upsampling to get to 1080i now ......
as you can tell not very knowledgeble about video..been audiophile for years and all this stuff is relatively new to me ..

nickhor,

Your Domino 30 will handle a 1080i signal from say D-Theater or Euro 1080 no problem. The scaler in the projector will just scale the image down to 1280x720 and give you an outstanding picture.

DScaler and the Sweetspot card work very well.
I use this in my Uvem HCPC to good effect.
