Is it a dust blob?

I bought my Benq w1100 about 2 months ago; after one month (maybe it was there from the beginning, but I have not noticed it) I started to notice like a blob on dark scenes only (I attached 2 pictures). My fear is it is not a dust blob, but something else. Can you help me?

Thank to everybody

PS sorry for my English

Hmmm, looks like a dust blob to me but can't be certain. I'm sure some of the more experienced folk here can give a better answer than me, sorry!

Thanks for your reply; my doubt is that the blob seems almost a perfect circle, is it possible speaking about dust?

To see if it is dust turn your focus ring fully one way then the other if it is dust it should come into focus as a tint spec of dust.

Thank you for the answer; turning focus ring fully one way the blob comes into focus (and using also zoom ring, with the smallest size is more visible), but the tint is always the same, doesn't change: light grey like the attached pictures

Then it's a dust blob! Not sure what's recommended to remove. I remember my Sanyo recommended blowing at it but better check the manual
