Z2 Lamp life

Had my Z2 since January. Had to return it to Sanyo 3 weeks ago as I had a dark/dim picture. Prior to that had been really happy with it. Straight out of the box, no adjustments - sweet.

Sanyo have now said the Lamp has 900+ hours and that this is not covered.

900 hours?? I had expected 3k.

Now I have to shell ot 300 bucks for a new lamp

Anyone else come across this?

Lamp life is rarely warrenteed and if it is only for a short period.....As I have said in other posts on lamp life, they don;t last as long as manufacturers say they do in many cases....
However in your case I'll assume the manufacturer quotes a bulb life of at least 2K hours and 900 seems a bit mean so have a quiet word with them and maybe a deal or even better a freee bulb will result as bad publicity on lamp life and cost does a fair bit of damage to sales.......
