DVI-D to PC Input

Would it be possible for me to take the DVI-D Output from a DVD player and through an adaptor input it into the PC Input on my projector ? If so will I benefit from the DVI-D output and get 720i or 1080i ? Or do I need a DVI-D input on my projector to get the benefit.

Dvi-D only carries a digtal signal, Dvi-I carries both a digital and analog signal which would work with your PJ via a dvi to vga adaptor.

I don't think you would see much improvement in pq as your will just have to downscale the image to fit the screen.

Your best bet would be to just run your 2800 in prog scan via component.
or you could use a HCPC with powerstrip to get 1:1 pixel match best pq possible
