Emp 74 Xga or INFOCUS X1 or Panasonic PT-AE 200?

thinking about buying one of these projectors,

a Epson Emp 74 Xga Projector, still sealed in box £550 off a guy,
High Brightness Mode 2000 ANSI lumens
Low Brightness Mode 1500 ANSI lumens
contrast 500:1

is this a good price also is this a good projector?

or i was thinking of buying the INFOCUS X1
Brightness (Lumens) : 1100 ANSI
Contrast: ANSI: **
Full On/Off: 2000:1

or Panasonic PT-AE 200
Lumen 700
contrast 700:1

whats the best out of the 3 ?

need some advice before buying if the Epson Emp 74 or INFOCUS X1 or Panasonic PT-AE 200
which is best? sorry im new to projectors,
hope someone can advize,

thanks

Personally speaking I would always buy the one with the highest contrast ratio providing all other specs are fairly similar.

so i guess the INFOCUS X1 is the highest contrast ?

i cant find the Contrast: ANSI: ** rateing on this projector
only Full On/Off: 2000:1 whats ever that means?

does this mean its higher than the rest?

ive just purchased an emp 74 off ebay specifically because it is an xga native resolution, tried a sony es vpl1 vga(800x600) and screen door was quite visible, projector has high lumen output even in theater mode, and a relatively long life bulb and after some checking bulbs can be aquired for £175 if you look in the right places instead of £350 ish i reviewed hundreds of pj,s before deciding on that one and decided dlp was not for me with the rainbow effect, it gives me blinding head ache and i can live with the 500:1 contrast ratio which appears to be very good for an lcd pj ...going to experiment with white, silvered and grey vinyl from a sign shop stuck to a 7ft wide blackout roller blind, believe a mat grey vinyl may give best picture......jf
