Moving from HT300Plus to Domino30H

Hi, I'm moving to a HDCP capable projector from my current HT300Plus. What I would like to know are a few things in regards to performance between these two PJ's.

Will I loose ANY picture quality moving from HT300Plus -> D30H via DVI?
Will I loose ANY picture quality moving from HT300Plus -> D30H via Component?
Is the projector brightness the same?

Any difference in noise dB?
Throw ratio?
What firmware updates are used on the D30H? Can I use HT300Plus updates? Are they updated as regurlarly as the HT300Plus?

Is the Pixelworks scaler used on the D30H or is the Faroudja IC used for this?

So essentially I'm asking, are there any drawbacks doing this? (apart from losing my Remote input station2).

Thanks, fellow Sim2 users for any views on this

crion,

You should not notice any loss of pq with either analogue or digital feeds.
All the current range of Sim2 projectors are much quieter with the new colour wheel.
Throw ratio will be the same.
You cannot use 300+ SW with the 30H. There is new SW which covers the 20H, 30H and 300 Xtra. There has been a new SW release for HDMI models quite recently. This is 2.35.06 F
The Pixelworks scaler and the Faroudja DCDI deinterlacer are both used on the 30H.
No real drawbacks to doing this (except financial)

Jeff
