Vivitar DP-1200X

Caught the projector bug watching a shopping channel which was selling the Vivitar DP-1200X for £900. Jumped in and bought it, now having found this forum I'm disappointed even before its been delivered. Concerned re contrast of of only 400:1 would be grateful for more experienced view as to whether this is considered good enough for Home Cinema. Can't find any reviews or retailers, although the spec of the Vision vx1 leads me to believe it is a clone.
Here is a web link http://www.vivitar.com/Products/SLRp...r.html#dp1200x

Your feedback would be appreciated.

£900 doesn't sound bad for an XGA projector.

Admittedly 400:1 CR is a bit low but i'm sure you will get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
