Need projector advice regarding throw distances

Looking for some advice please...

Ive been roped into helping a friend in getting a projector the problems are that the distance from screen to projector location is 7.4 metres, and he managed to get a cheap in ceiling screen (beamax) which is 105" diagonal. We asked in a local store and they reckoned would be very expensive to get a projector to throw this distance , so the alternative was to get a Navitar conversion lens which will reduce image size by 20% so if this is the case what are the most reasonable priced projectors that will carry out the job.

Any help would be appreciated.

cheers

check dwhites link above

looks like a trade off between projector cost vs a cheaper projetor ceiling mounted closer. Tell him to run that by her ;-)

or an in-celing mount closer to screen with light fitting!
