Re: Barco Cine 7 Power Failure

Do you have any LEDs lit ? If not it could be the AC power input board.

Do you own a voltmeter ?

Tom.W

Thanks for your reply. The Cine 7 is totally dead, no LED's are lit up. I will have access to a Multimeter tomorrow.

Regards

Re: Barco Cine 7 Power Failure

Recheck the standby power fuse and the power resister (ceramic) next to it with an ohm meter.

Re: Barco Cine 7 Power Failure

I don't know what Barco were up to with these power supplies. they were forced to make it auto voltage detecting (please some body tell me the proper name for it). and its this bit that goes fault on these.
I'm going to assume your projector is on the ceiling which will make it really dificult to get to. there are a couple of mains fuses on the board close to where the mains comes in.
The power supply won't come all the way out as the EHt leads will hold it back but you may be able to get it far enough out to release the silver and plastic screws that hold an air delector in place. Once you get that out the way you should be able to check those fuses in place.

Re: Barco Cine 7 Power Failure

I had the power completely go on my Cine 7, a few phone calls to Barco and I was told how to slide out the power board.

This was sent to Barco for repair and touch wood it's been 100% since. Just inside warranty too

Yeah I'm sure it was a repair, happened a few years back now so can't be 100%.
