Projectors do work with 3D films. It is no different to watching them on a TV. Are they the right glasses?

Re: 3d version of journey to center of earth

It defo works with my projector an Infocus X9, the 3D technology is the old red/green one and is not perfect anyway. It gives the impression of the 3D but with bad Pic quality even on my TV. If you have seen a recent 3D film at the pictures then there will be no comparison the new stuff is far superior.

Does it give a 3D effect? If not nwgarrett could be right you may have the new type of glasses with the old type of 3D technology!!

Re: 3d version of journey to center of earth

By the way Frankie when it mentions about z2000 on the other thread not being upto 3D job thats talking about the new technology not the one used on Journey To The Centre...

If you have the right glasses channel4 are doing a week of 3D from tomorrow using the old technology so they will work for that.

Re: 3d version of journey to center of earth

The glasses that come with Journey are the magenta/green ones (same as My bloody Valentine and Coraline).

You will find it is normal to raise the brightness a little bit but other settings can stay the same.

I think you are a bit confused here. The black ones from the cinema are for a totally different type of 3D. All blu-rays in 3D use colour lens glasses. You need to use the ones that came in the box! Some blu-rays use red/blue, others green/magenta.

The green/magenta ones result in less ghosting but cause more disturbing colour destruction from the original image. Most people are "right eye dominant" and this means whites will generally look pink. I do feel the purple and green should have been the other way around to satisfy more people.
