Has anyone been in this situation?

Currently have a VW50 which I've been rather happy with, but wondering how much of an improvement the VW80 is. I can get one at a pretty good price, so it's tempting.

FYI, I'm using it in my lounge which does have bright coloured walls, and whilst I watch it in darkness, the reflections off the whole do make me lose some contrast so wonder whether it's worth upgrading that or if I should abandon the idea until I can get a better environment that would allow a VW80 to shine...
