Infocus x9 dead lamp 1500 hrs?

Not sure if I've got a faulty lamp or a my projector has gone faulty?

It comes up with a screen of black and white lines every time I turn it on for about 10 try's now first time it did it was 3 time's then back to normal. I've bin putting it off as it's my only visual in the bedroom. So is it time to go back to infocus? only had it 9 months Yes I know that's a lot of use lol. Would be nice if any1 else had these problem's

It's worth noting when it does work after god know's how many try's the picture is basically fine. Apart from it get's some gray like crackles like a signal problem sometime's I have checked all connection's...

I also have a razorvision connected on the hdmi in just to let any1 know but this shouldn't be the problem as it doesn't even load the infocus loading screen!

Thanks

If you didn't use the Eco mode I guess your lamp should not have much more time left. Is there any way from the menu to check if you do need for replacement ?

Re: Infocus x9 dead lamp 1500 hrs?

That doesn't sound like a lamp fault to me at all, it sound like a more serious faulty with some of the other hardware in the projecotr that generates the image. A faulty lamp will not generate black and white lines, it might be dim, flicker or not work at all.

I think you need to get it sent back to the retailer you bought it from who are the people you need to be dealing with to get it repaired under warranty.

Re: Infocus x9 dead lamp 1500 hrs?

I think your right I think it's warranty but with the lamp number's being high I wondered if this sort of thing happened as its special little way of telling you. over 70% has been done in eco mode so should go a lot further hopefully. I haven't seen it going dim or having problem's with the picture. Just as quoted having problems processing the image

thanks guys time to take it down and off to infocus
