House rewire - what wiring for projector / screen?

My house is currently undergoing a rewire.

I'm wanting to install cables to enable me to instal a projector and screen at a future date. What cables will I need to install?

Links or pictures of cables woule be apprciated as I'm not too clued up on projectors etc.

I'm planning on installing a false wall and sinking my LCD TV into the wall so any cables for the projector or screen can be left up in the ceiling or behind the false wall until required.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice

Cheers
Baz

I would install a HDMI cable, a set of component cables, and power cables for the projector and screen if you are going for a motorised screen.

Re: House rewire - what wiring for projector / screen?

Hi,

I would add audio cables to the mix as well.

If you're not too clued up on cables, I want to clarfiy the previous post:
- Only power goes to the projection screen
- All the rest will go to the projector's location (including 1 x power)

Projection screen-wise, if you are making a false wall, maybe you can add a bit of false ceiling for the projection screen too. This will allow you to get an in-ceiling screen.

This will get you a very clean looking cinema. You can go to www.beamax.com to see some examples of these sort of installations. www.homecinemagallery.com has some nice inspirational material as well.

Good luck with the works.
