I bought an 1080p epson tw3000 a few months ago and have been quite happy with quality. one issue has always been that it looses focus easily and needs refocusing once in a while, i've seen other users report this issue so i've lived with it rather than send it back.
I've just noticed a new issue though. I've done a side by side comparison with a 32" 720p lcd tv, which seems to be miles sharper. I think one of the reasons is down to panel convergence:

The picture shows text from the projectors onboard menu. As you can see there's a strong purple fringe at the top of the white text, and also a yellow/green fringe at the bottom. I cant notice this from seating distance but it must be having an effect on sharpness.
Is this lack of convergence acceptable? I dont want to send it back only for epson to send it back saying there's no issue. Is there a service menu i can get into to fix it myself?
