SONY HS20 vs others

Hi everyone.

I took for the weekend a SONY pj HS20 to whatch some movies an home. I own home cinema for 5 years, but for the first time I watch movies this way.

So, my question is how good is this SONY pj? Compare to others LCD or DLP pj at same price tag.

I liked the picture, I think it is cinematic to me. I'm a photographer and I like more 'analog' pictures, without too much processing.

Depends on how much you want to spend. I did a lot of research before buying my HS20 a month ago and couldn't find anything to match it in that price range.

I sit 15 feet from an 8ft wide screen, and the screen door is invisible. Even as close as 10ft it is hardly visible at all. We sit right next to the projector and it is very quiet.

It is my first PJ, but I'm very impressed. As for picture quality, I've used an AVIA dvd to do a basic setup, and other than decreasing the brightness, I've left all the other settings as they came out of the box - the picture is pretty perfect to my eyes.
