Screen for HD65

Hi I have two quick questions

1. Does anyone know the best place to pick up a HD65 for a good price? I’m in Ireland but will order from UK. I’ve heard of deals with free screens etc but couldn't locate any online.

2. I haven't decided on a screen and would love some suggestions, looking for an 80ish (80, 84, 90) inch.

Thanks a lot guys

Re: Screen for HD65

The HD700 is just a black HD65 (so is the GT7000). The screen is worth £120+. It is 92".

A HD65 has three year warranty which is why it is more money when the GT7000 and HD700 has just one year.

What you think of this !!!!

After a lot of searching around on this forum I've just ordered myself a HD65 but I’m still having trouble deciding on a screen and really need advice. I’m looking for an 80-84 inch HD (ready) screen. Because I've ordered a HD65 I need one with a 16:9 aspect ratio. What do you think of this one from eBay?

eBay.ie: 80" ELECTRIC MOTORISED HD PROJECTOR SCREEN 16:9 HD GB (item 300312587777 end time 31-Oct-09 10:16:01 GMT)

Let me know or if you have any different suggestions that would be great, thanks

Re: What you think of this !!!!

The seller is fine (they are popular) but don't go with a glass beaded one. Matt White is better especially when watching in total darkness.

The same seller is also under primebuyuk.

They say they accept offers. But they refused mine including one that was just £10 less than the BIN. I was trying to just reduce the price to absorb the postage cost.

Here is the same screen but matt white for the same price and sold under primebuyuk seller name.

eBay.ie: 80" ELECTRIC MOTORISED HD PROJECTOR SCREEN MATTE WHITE (item 250504243561 end time 25-Oct-09 14:41:29 GMT)

Re: Screen for HD65

Although I'm sure that is a good screen, if I were you I'd hang fire until the pj is delivered. Set it up and display the image. You can then increase the size until you're happy with it, then measure the image and then you know what size screen you need. Otherwise you might buy the 80 and realise you really want/need a 90 once you have it.

Once you've seen it big, it's hard to shrink the image down again! I thought I would be happy with 80, as soon as you see the image at 100-110 or so you quickly change your mind though.
