Sanyo PLCXW57 frame issue

Hello there,

I've got a problem with a Sanyo PLCXW57 projector. I've noticed today that the frame of the projected image is a bit crooked/warped/cropped on one side. I've tried changing the keystone settings etc. but this did not resolve the issue.

I'm suspecting it might be more of a hardware issue. Would anyone know anything more regarding this issue? Has this happened before?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Re: Sanyo PLCXW57 frame issue

Hi with an image warped on one side it sounds like its not mounted square to the screen, i suspect it is slightly out of square with the center of the screen.

If you need further help i am an approved engineer for Sanyo projectors.

Re: Sanyo PLCXW57 frame issue

Hi Bogget,

I see what youre saying here however there's more to it. i will get Alan to get a photo and post it soon.

I suspect maybe the chip or frame inside (not knwoing a great deal about DLP projectors myself) has become dislodged?!?

Even if you place the projector bang square infront the frame is still "squewiff" (what a word )

its quite noticeably not a square (its as if it has been cropped!)

hmmm...
