I have a 4 year old Panasonic AE700 Projector.

I think the bulb is just starting to get to the end of its life - (its now over the opertaing hours limit and i occasionally notice a slight flickering in the image.)

Additionally I would like to get the firmware updated - I occasionally get a "flash" on screen when watching blu rays via HDMI - i understand this is firmware related. and get the inside of the proejector cleaned whilst the case is open.


Ive looked on the panasonic website which links to quite a few buisnisses from camera shops to generic electrical shops in london which can apparently service my projector but I wondered if anyone could reccomend anywhere that will know what they're doing and be able to do the firmware at the same time as changing the bulb etc.

The only place in the UK that I can recommend and is fully capable of doing all that you need to a very high standard would be Panasonic's own dedicated Projector Service Centre in Cardiff.

Hi Vila, please do not over run your lamp you may cause permanent damage to your projector, the UV output increases exponentially as you go over its rated hours and this will burn the polarizing filters.

The clean you talking about is a "deep clean" there are about 4 places in the UK capable of doing this for you.
