16:9 Lens Hood/Cover/Shade/Mask For Projector

Hi,

I have a projector which has a 4:£ native resolution. When I play widescreen videos on it there is the usual black lines on the bottom and top of the image, and on dim scenes it gets quite annoying when both the image and the bars are nearly the same brightness. I was wondering if there is a lens attachment that blocks the light path of the the horizontal lines so it doesn't make it to the screen. Thanks for your help

Re: 16:9 Lens Hood/Cover/Shade/Mask For Projector

Might be easier to roll your screen up to the bottom of the widescreen portion of the image, and hang black velvet from the casing to cover the top black bar that remains.
