seleco svp 350 - need "setup" remote?

hi. i have just bought a seleco svp350 from an auction.went to pick it up the other day,and guess what......no remote control unit!!
so,whats a fool to do? having downloaded the instalation manual from a link i found here in this forum(thanx!), i see that i am missing a RC3000.would any of you good folk know where i could possibly buy,beg or borrow one of these?
an RC3500 is no problem to find, but this i am lead to
believe is a user remote, lacking setup functions.
i don`t suppose there is another way around my problem, so if any one here could point me in the right direction,or indeed had an RC3000 for sale/rent i would be very gratefull.
thanx,
a silly paddy.

Re: seleco svp 350 - need "setup" remote?

hi tom.w
thanx for the tip, but no luck!
downloaded a zip file, unpacked it,but nothing inside only a lot of bitmap files!
either i am missing something,or thats the only file they have relating to seleco!
anyhow, still no service remote for my svp350.
i know the remote is named RC3000,and i`ve seen it mentioned as a setup tool in other threads here.i managed to find a U.K. dealer who stocks RC3000`s but the manufacturer isn`t seleco.
does this matter?are all RC3000`s the same?in other words is a "BRAND X"RC3000 the same as the origional RC3000 that would have been shipped with anew seleco svp350?
sorry to be such a pain but i'm at my wits end here!i've seen the machine working(great picture),i just don't have the RC!
any info Tom? (or any other members or guests).
yours,
silly paddy

Re: seleco svp 350 - need "setup" remote?

As far as i know you don`t need the RC3000 to set up your 350 as it hasn't got a digital convergence and uses pots, the RC3500 is all you need.

Re: seleco svp 350 - need "setup" remote?

John11 is correct. You can do a full setup with the cream remote - RC3500.

The RC3000 does have some shortcut buttons to make setup easier. These are -
R G B tubes On/Off
Reset - used for resetting the deflection controls to the mid points - 50%
Direct access buttons for some of the menus - Settings, Picture etc.

However, when I was teaching dealers how to install 350s I always showed them how to do it just using the 3500 remote.

For tubes On/Off just use the lens caps or cover the tubes
Reset can be done by simply adjusting each deflection setting to 50%.
All the menus can be accessed via the three dots button (...)
