Re: Old Infocus Screenplay 5700 owners

Hi Matyam,
I actually just replaced the bulb in my 5700 (1900 hours on previous bulb) and it has cetainly breathed new life into the old girl. The image is bright and vibrant once again. Saying that, after 6 years I'm also considering upgrading. I Purchased the new bulb for resale value.

My two requirements are at least 1000 lums and long throw capability. The two projectors I am considering are the JVC HD350 and the recently accounced Infocus SP8602. There is a thread all about it Here

I'd be interested in hearing what you end up with.

Regards,
Stephen

Hi stephen thanks for the heads up on the new infocus ,im envious of your 1900hrs as mine is giving up on 400hrs .Isaw the jvc at the bristol show this year but the room didnt really do it justice but what i saw looked promising.I have found lamps for £245 would you say this was reasonable price as when i watched curse of golden flowers excellant forest scene it looked pretty bad.
Oh well more head scratching what a hobby.

Hi Matyam,
245 pounds is around $500 Australian, which is a good price. My new lamp cost $750

Cheers,
Stephen

Re: Old Infocus Screenplay 5700 owners

Maybe a bit late but: -

1st lamp lasted spot on 1500hrs
2nd lamp lasted 2050hrs
3rd lamp at 3100hrs and still going - the projector has said replace lamp since 1500hrs so I bought a spare then and a year later still have not used it.

Re: Old Infocus Screenplay 5700 owners

amazon.co.uk selling original InFocus Screenplay projector 5700 bulbs SP-LAMP-006 for only £161 delivered and that's sold by amazon themselves
Just fitted mine after the old one went dim at 2381 hrs.
What a difference! This will keep me going while I save up for the JVC 550 or maybe even a 950!

Re: Old Infocus Screenplay 5700 owners

My Sisters 5700 has a fault on the picture and is getting my old 7210.
Have to see how many hours are on the bulb, if interested in a second hand one.
