Seleco 350

Hi there
I was hoping someone out there could help me, my friend recently purchased a Seleco 350 projector which he saw working perfectly in a club, but when he got it to his club and attached it to the ceiling we cannot even make out the menu never mind anything thats being put through it. The best way i could describe it is it's as if you were trying to bring up a menu on an analogue telly while it's looking for channels, any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Seleco 350

In order to get away without setting up the projector it needs to be running on the same size screen and at exactly the same distance as it was in the old location. If not then it will be out of focus. Though tbh, relocating a CRT does mean setting it up again.

Pretty much everything you need to know has already been written by me in this forum over the last 10 years. If you have a look at using the search feature then you'll be able to find answers on every topic. This includes the basics of setting up...i.e. what to do and in what order.

I have to say at this point that setting up a CRT projector isn't as simple as putting a plug on a toaster, so if you're looking for a 5 minute fix then you're probably going to be disappointed; but it's not rocket science either.

When I worked for Owl the training course to teach dealers how to install took a day. It was pretty intense too.

Those courses aren't running any longer. If you had to pay for a similar level of professional training today you would be invoiced for anything from £200 - £400. I make this point to highlight the quality of the information written here in this forum. It comes from the training I've given and the experience of setting up countless numbers of Seleco CRT projectors. You shouldn't underestimate the value of the information just because you're getting it free. It is worth a lot.
