Re: oley projector help wanted

Surely people will want model numbers to offer any advice?

Re: oley projector help wanted

dont do it!!!!!
My housemate has one of these, he bought it just before i moved in and i'm now looking to pick up an optoma to replace it.
The contrast is pretty awful, it only does 4:3 and the fans make more noise than an A380 taking off!
I guess it depends on whether you want a decent image or just a big image, but i'd pay a few hundred more and get something from a well known brand, at least that way you have support, warranty, etc, etc. I'll try and take some photos tonight to show you what the image looks like, but i can't stand the thing
The resolution seems pretty bad on it as well, and it went a bit funny after streaming planet earth in 720p (pretty sure we burnt a bulb out on that one!) for about 30 minutes.
