Projector Ceiling Mount longer arms???

I have a btech 811 universal projector ceiling mount which i have used for a few years with my infocus 4805.
I have now bought a Sanyo Z700 which is much larger.
I have found that the arms that connect the projector to the mount arent long enough for the Sanyo.
I have tried to get longer arms but no one seems to sell them.
It seems i would have to buy a new 811 mount as it now comes with short and long arms.
Can anyone help?
Either somewhere i can get longer arms or anyone got any spare?
i would be grateful for any info.

Have you tried contacting B-Tech? They're very helpful people there.

Re: Projector Ceiling Mount longer arms???

Yes i rang BTech but they said they couldnt sell the long arms seperatley, even though they sell all the other parts from the mounting seperatley.
Seems weird to me but they wouldnt budge.
Anyone else got any ideas???

Re: Projector Ceiling Mount longer arms???

Think about a DIY fix !

i bought a vogels for my epson tw680 and found i could only mount with 2 of the four holes ,so i extended the other two arms with some brackets i had had in my odds and sods box and a couple of small bolts from B&Q and all good !

So perhaps a trip to B&Q or possibly a model shop could solve your problem.

Good Luck
