| Questions on Cine9/909 neckboards
After having the opportunity to use both my Cine9's for a couple of weeks, I noticed a problem with one of them that was solved by swapping out the neck board with one from my other projector. The problem was a streaking of green that would show up on some things, like the DirecTV Guide or a golf ball. It showed up as a bright green fringing on the right side of the object against dark backgrounds, but was not visible against black. I at first thought my green tube was going as it looked like blooming, but was only confined to the right side. After researching the forums I saw where some other Barco users have also had this problem and it was the neckboard. So, after a long story, I solved this problem and I'm finally getting to my questions.
I notice these boards (R763027) have a gain adjustment pot P1 on them. Do I need to worry about adjusting this upon changing the board? If so, how do I adjust it? I see nothing in the service manual that addresses this. I am a retired guy with an EE degree and I have some equipment, such as a scope and meters, that I used to be very proficient in using before I got into management, so I can handle most stuff.
Another question. Can anybody give some troubleshooting tips on finding out what's wrong on the neck card that was causing this problem? There's one 10 uF 250v electrolytic capacitor that I plan on checking. What else should I check?
Thanks for any help you can give.
