Electric Projector screen mounting???

Electric Projector screen mounting???

Hi,

I'd like to mount my electric screen above my fire place, has anyone any experience of this, any problems etc??

Hi Robsony,
If you still use the fire, the heat will probably damage the surface permanently. The minimum damage would occur over time as the heat softens the surface allowing it to stretch and warp.

Once the surface is heat damaged, the warranty is void.

If you have no fire in use, apart from some screen cases being wider than the average chimney breast, you should have no problems installing it especially if you have a screen with easy install brackets that can mount anywhere on the case. A screen with fixing points at each end of the case may be a little tricky if you have no beam above the same place you want to place the screen but the detachable easy install brackets can fix to the chimney/brick and then the case/screen fixes to them.
