Adjusting the drop on a Beamax M100

Hi all

Does anyone know how to adjust the drop on a Beamax M100?

I can't find any info on setting the drop on this model and it appears to be different to the other instructions/videos I've found.

An Allan key came with it that fits the yellow screw in the photo which I'm assuming is the top or bottom setting, but unlike the other screens I've found info for, which have two adjustment screws, this only seems to have one.

I'll drop Beamax a line tomorrow, but you know how it is, you get a new toy and you want to play with it NOW!

Cheers

Re: Adjusting the drop on a Beamax M100

It seems to vary as to which screw is the 'up' stop and the 'down' stop according to the info I got with my Beamax. The instructions talk about new versions and whether the screen comes from the front or back of the case. However, in your picture there looks like a plastic 'bung' behind the yellow screw, does this come out? If so then that would be your second screw.

I would lower the screen fully, then raise it a bit and just try a half turn on one screw and try lowering it again to see if the screen stops higher or lower. If it doesn't make any difference, you've just adjusted the 'up' stop, so make sure you put it back exactly where it was, hence the half turn suggestion. If need be adjust the 'other' screw, assuming you've found it. Half a turn at a time, maybe less. Unless it is tab tensioned it shouldn't matter if you raise the down stop quite a bit, but for a TT screen Otto said 5-10cms max.

Panic over! I found it.

The bottom stop adjustment us under the small rubber gromit, but pretty far to the front of the case. Hence when I had a look the first time I couldn't see it.
