Sapphire Mayfair - Setting the Drop

I've read the previous posts on this subject which are now a couple of years old. I think my Sapphire Mayfair has been updated since those threads as my screen doesn't look like those photos - here is a close up of my screen with the small cover removed:-

Question - Can the drop be set on this latest sapphire mayfair model? The only adjuster I can see is the yellow plastic allen headed screw which I think looks more like a locking collar for the spindle rather than an adjuster.
TIA
Maurice

Re: Sapphire Mayfair - Setting the Drop

I think you will find that the other adjuster is via a hole hidden under the warning label.

I am pretty sure that the allen screw under the label is the 'bottom stop' adjuster, and the allen that you can see is the 'top stop' adjuster.

I am at work at the moment so can't check the instructions for my screen, but I think that's the configuration.

By inserting an allen key into the head and turning one full turn should give you about 1-2 inches of adjustment. The 'top stop' is not really one to change... but the 'bottom stop' should give you quite allot of variation on the amount you want to drop.

Re: Sapphire Mayfair - Setting the Drop

The white one is for the bottom stop position (it is located behind the sticker). Don't fiddle with the yellow one - this is the top stop.

Turn the screw either with an Allen key or flat bladed screwdriver.

Anti-clockwise makes the screen drop further.

If you need to raise the screen, I'd recommend putting it all the way up, then turning the white screw three or four turns clockwise, then lowering it again. At this point, the screen will probably be higher than you wanted so you can now make tiny anti-clockwise adjustments to the screw. Each time you move it, the screen will drop a small amount.

Re: Sapphire Mayfair - Setting the Drop

Thanks to both mikim and stevelup for their help, I've now adjusted the bottom drop perfectly.
My screen seems to be slightly different from the previous descriptions, so for anyone who is interested:-
The label "Adjusted by professionals only" does indeed hide a second hole with adjuster, but this is the 'top stop' adjustment and so shouldn't need to be changed. The first allen screw which is visible without the need to remove any cover plates or stickers is the adjustment for the bottom drop. Both allen screws are yellow.
Cheers
