hi all....
just had a major shifty around and have now also wall mounted a plasma where i just had a pj screen fitted flush to the wall.

....now i've got to mount the pj screen about 6 1/2 t0 7" inches away from the wall to drop down in front of the telly.
....i dont want to hang it from the ceiling as i've finally had it skimmed (used to have it that way)...i was hoping to mount it on wooden blocks fitted to the wall but that wont come far enough....the only other way i can think of is a pair of brackets of some sort (in a hanging basket type stylee!)

....anybody any other ideas or tips...or know of some purpose built brackets that might do the job.

If you can find a pair of brackets that are specified to take at least half the weight of the screen, that should do. Just make sure you can (ideally) mount them into the timber framing behind the wall, or use very heavy duty fixings (two for each bracket) if they need to go directly into the stone or plasterboard. If it has to be the latter, I'd be inclined to get a bracket with a long arm to attach to the wall and put three well spaced fixings in each. Whatever you do, you may have a job tidying the finished work to avoid domestic wrath from SWMBO!

did'nt expect a wall bracket for the telly to stick out as much as it has....
soon thought of a couple of simple ideas....but got to be a bit wifey friendly.
