Mounting a projector screen with minimal damage to the wall/ceiling

Hi guys - I've just ordered a Sony VPL-HW10 and so want a good screen to go with it.

I'm a student and as such, I'm renting a place while at uni. Because of this I need to make sure I do as little damage to the walls as possible when hanging up a projector screen. I'm looking at a 92" diagonal pull down but was wondering how I would mount such a screen. What's the best way to mount it while keeping the damage to the room to a minimum? The room has white painted walls if that helps.

Any replies are much appreciated, thanks very much.

Personally as it's only a few basic screw holes to mount one I'd ceiling or wall mount it with the provided hardware and then make good the holes before I ceased the rental agreement.

But, only if there wasn't any specific clauses in the rental agreement about hanging things or fixing things to wall / ceiling. If there were then that could cause issues come inspection time.

Maybe have a word with the landord / rental mangement company and ask them direct, explaining clearly what you want to do and that the mounting holes would be made good before you left?

Not sure there's anything else to say mate to be honest. What other way of fixing a pull down screen are you expecting people to suggest?

Either buy a pull up screen or project straight onto the wall. Otherwise you will need to affix a pull down screen to something.

A bit of plaster will cover the holes though so its no biggie. Takes about 30 seconds to do. Just make sure you take care when drilling the holes etc.
