Question projector screen size explaination ?

So if a site describes the projector screen like this ..

Massive 80" (177x100cm) screen in 16:9 widescreen format

the 177x100cm is that 177 vertical and 100cm horizontal ?
just trying to measure my room space

Yep you got it, 177cm wide and 100cm tall. That's a perfect 16:9 image.

wow thats huge !!!

i just thought mentally that it will double the size of my 40" HDTV but it looks like 80" screen is alot bigger than 2x my 40" HDTV ?? wow thats odd

Its for a 15ft x 15ft room so 80 " is plenty for me !

Re: projector screen size explaination ?

It's 4 times bigger, think of it as 2 wide x 2 high 40" TV's to get the 80" diagonal.

I originally went from 28" to 80" which is nearly 9 times bigger (3x3)!! I now have 84".

Think of it as 2 wide and 2 high. The two 40" diagonal make the 80" diagonal but it needs the other two to create a big 16:9 rectangle.
