Exclamation Make your electric screen remote! ???

I may or maynot have everyone onto somthin here,
I dont know if they will work but maybe someone could tell me?

Will these work:
Remote Plug

Alot of the screen places are charging £100 for these, there only 12 quid here!!!

as i havent got my screen yet, i wont get one - yet.

erm if your screen is mains powered with drop and return( gets to bottom and goes up again) then possible but i wouldnt reconmend it!

This won't work with the majority of electric screens as they need the mains switching between the 2 ciruits in the screen motor which this doesn't do.

oh well it was a nice try anyway
isnt there a cheaper alternative to this £100 'remote plug' ?

The mains relay side is easy to sort out, there are various relay kits about, and they are easy to make. The hard bit is sorting out the IR control. I suspect you could get that as a kit from somehwre too.

suppose other option is to use the trigger on the pj.
