Sony NW-HD5 20GB bit rate default to 64kbps

Hello need help with sonic stage 3.1 as it keeps defaulting to 64kbps every time I try and convert a cd has been working fine and transfering cd's to 132kbps atrac3 no probelm until today. Have gone into all the options and changed default to 132kbphs or higher but always reverts to 64kbps, also tried various cd's but to no avail frustrating the hell out of me. Also defaults to bit rate 64 when transfering cd to my device NW-HD5. Please help!!!
