Our older son has an iPod and loves the dock we gave him last Xmas. It allows him to charge his iPod, play from it and use it as an Alarm Clock. He still uses the iPod itself for selecting music.

We would like to get Son No. 2 similar for Xmas, but his music is on his Archos 18b mp3 Player, though he generally listens to it instead on his Samsung Galaxy Y phone.

While I can see a great range of good-looking iPod docks which give reasonable sound, can someone recommend something that will work with his phone or mp3 player using a mini/micro USB lead or headphone jack? It must be able to both charge the device while connected and work as a wake-up alarm. No need for portability as it will live in his bedroom. Budget around £50.
