Bluetooth Music HTC Android to Alpine Car Audio

Hi;

I have a Landrover Freelander 2 which has an "Alpine® branded audio system, with radio and single slot CD player, MP3 disc compatibility, 8 x 40W amplifier, auxiliary input and 9 speakers".

I have connected my HTC Desire HD via Bluetooth to use it through the in car telephone system.

My question is - is it possible to play music on my phone through the cars audio via Bluetooth.

I have managed to pair the phone with the car and when I play music on my phone it gives an option to play via the car audio but nothing happens.

Is the car Alpine System not capable or is it the software on my phone.

Thanks

Hi,

I've just bought a Kenwood head unit for the same reason for Bluetooth audio, it works well and sound is very good, i have a Desire HD so it does work. I've been playing music from music, spotify and poweramp apps, can control on head unit but the track titles etc. don't display.

Have you checked settings such as media volume and bluetooth options, might be somewhere on there for enabling audio.

I did pair with my android tablet but no audio from that, hadn't looked further into it though.
