Best MP3 Player for around 50 quid?

Thinking of getting my mum one for her birthday.

Can you get about a 4 gig for around this price?

Only reccomendation i would suggest is its quite easy to use, not the actual software, cos i will be putting the music on there, but for her to use when shes got it on the way to work, otherwise she will be lost

Thanks

From my independant research (I looked on Amazon ), i think the Sansa Clip looks like a good option.

8gig for 50 quid and looks snazzy enough.

Anyone got first hand experience?

Never used a Clip but I do have a Sansa Fuze (12GB, 8GB from integrated) and I love it, I got a good deal on it (about £45-£50 from Play a while back)...

Got my dad (who's 77) a Sansa Clip and he loves it, so do I and am getting the kids some for Xmas. Great sound quality. It recently won the gadget Show best MP3 player award too, so you can't go wrong.

I got the Sansa Clip+ last week as I was fed up of my old iPod nano and iTunes.

Small, light and easy to use. Radio reception is average (has presets), and the Plus version has a card slot which can be used to increase the capacity if needed. The OLED screen is a bit small, but is clear and bright so can be read easily in daylight.

I've been using MediaMonkey to sync mine, but it can also be done drag and drop instead.

It cost £49.99 for the 8GB version at my local Dixons (as was).

<edit>

Forgot to say that the Plus version has the addition of a card slot, but unlike the original doesn't have a removable clip (it's fixed in place), and the buttons don't light up when pressed... neither of which have been of any concern to me!

I would recommend the Sansa clip both my wife and I have one. Getting one for my son for Xmas too.

Great little player, upgraded the headphones for mine.

Bought my Mrs the Sansa Clip last Christmas and she's very pleased with it. It's not much bigger than the last gen iPod Shuffle, it's cheaper, and it comes with FM radio and a screen! Easy to use with WMP too. Awesome.
