Kids MP3 player recommendations please?

I'm looking for a small easy to use MP3 player for a couple of my kids.

Requirements are...

-Budget under £30 each
-Drag and Drop access
-ID3 tag Display
-Built in rechargable battery
-Different colour options
-2Gb Min storage

I'm currently thinking of getting the below players but just thought i'd check with the wise on here if anyone has a better option.

Why don't you just stream the music instead?

I would recommend PS3 media server, A very good application they say

Very good....

Headphone leads trailing to school wouldn't really be practical though....

Sansa Clip or Clip+

Or a cheap second hand iPod Nano?

Re: Kids MP3 player recommendations please?

+1 for the Sansa Clip, my 7 & 5 year olds have had thiers for nearly 2 years and they are still going strong. Easy to put music on and easy to use. They are used every week and are not very well looked after, dropped, dragged about, even stepped on. They sound great too.

I did end up buying Sennheiser PX100 headband headphones for them because in-ears are too big for my kids and not really a good idea when out and about.

Re: Kids MP3 player recommendations please?

The Sansa Clip has an awesome DAC in it. Better than my 4G Nano and my brothers 3G 64GB Touch. Not heard Sony's side by side with it though

Re: Kids MP3 player recommendations please?

Yeah think I will go for the Sansa's. With the way my kids leave stuff lying around on their bedroom floors I don't fancy Nano's.....

Re: Kids MP3 player recommendations please?

I just ordered a couple of Zen Mozaics for my 7 and 10-year-olds. The 2Gb model is currently £30 direct from Creative:
Creative ZEN Mozaic | The sound of fun!
They seem pretty durable and easy to use, and they've got a built-in speaker too-quite handy as they don't have to use headphones 100% of the time.

aagh. Was all set to order the Sansa's but the Mozaic looks great value at that price. Shame they've only got Black left though

Any more options people?

True, my girls aren't really into black things, but my plan is that they can order themselves some coloured skins with any money they get from relatives:

Re: Kids MP3 player recommendations please?

Yeah I think I'm going to go for the Mozaic's now. Reviews suggest the screens are ok'ish and the controls aren't too fiddly

The Speaker is a huge plus point as well...

cheers for the tip on this one...

Re: Kids MP3 player recommendations please?

NOOOO. go for the Sansa clip, much better sound quality than the Mozaic imo, I got my old dad a Sansa a few months ago,. it's so good i'm getting the kids some for Xmas. My mates got a Mozaic and he wants a Sansa too. The speaker is absolutely no use what so ever, so don't let that sway you.

I too would recommend the Sansa Clip getting one for my 9 year old this Xmas. We already have 2 in the family!

Spec wise the Mozaic looked the better option for my kids and outright sound quality isn't really a concern at there age so we went ahead and ordered two of the Mozaic's.

I'm sure they won't be disapointed.

Appreicate all the comments, recommendations and advice though
