mp3 player to i-pod 30 pin connector

I bought an i-pod universal dock, thinking it had an auxillary 3.5mm jack input socket. No such socket ( contrary to what What Hi Fi sound and vision magazine had listed in its write of the dock. I have an mp3 player as well as an i-pod so that I could use both through my amplifier. Is there a lead such as the lead I described in the title?

All suggestions would be welcome
